Happy Halloween!!!
Here is one of the Halloween decorations I made this year. I painted a piece of plywood and then adhered patterned paper to it. I painted some chipboard letters and embellished them for a wall hanging for our kitchen.

Just the Four of Us!

Hello! Happy (almost) Friday. Today I have another layout to share. I am trying to get some of the fun summer pictures scrapped but I didn't realize I took so many--it is gonna take awhile.

For this layout-I picked a few of my favorite close ups of my favorite boys. My son, Ben, and my nephews- Steven, Michael and Nicky. These boys are my son's "buddies"...they don't get to see each other a lot but every time we get to PA for a visit...they pick up right where they left off.

They have so much fun together. This is eventually going to be a two page spread...however, I only have this page done so far. When I get to the other one, I will be sure to post a picture of them side by side cause the picture for the other page is hysterical.

Here we go:
The sun detail was created by die cutting some patterned paper with the Sunshine Die-namics die. I popped up the inside layer and then added a button on top.

Here's a picture of the layout lying down (less glare on the pictures):

The title sticker originally said "Just the 2 of Us" and I just popped the 4 sticker right on top:
Papers/stickers are from October Afternoon: Seaside Collection.

MFT Wednesday Stamp Challenge and the LAUREN Couch

Hello! This week's MFT Wednesday Stamp Challenge is----It's In the Bag. Create a treat bag or gift sack.

Here is my treat container---> I used Little Loveosaurus to alter a tobacco tube. (Yep...wandered into our great downtown shopping square and found these cool tubes..a bit thicker than the standard ones! YIPEE!)

I covered the top and bottom with some Halloween paper by Echo Park. I paper peiced the dino boy and added him along the top wrap that goes around the tube. (So when you open the lid, the boy remains on the tube part.)

Wanna play along? Hope so. Head on over to Kim's blog at 11 am EST (on Wednesday) for all the details on how you can be entered to win a $15 gift certificate. Kim will also have a a complete list of participating designers for today's Wednesday Stamp Club so you can check out all the samples before you play!

And this week's--- "I'm Glad It's YOUR Kid and Not Mine Moment" is brought to you by LAUREN------>

Our living room couch (we bought it so it would be comfortable AND we wouldn't have to worry if kids ruined it because we were gonna get rid of it as soon as they were all a bit older*.)
Lauren---marked her spot in RED yesterday. On one hand I am so proud at how well she is writing...on the other hand....I would have PREFERRED that it wasn't on a piece of furniture.

Oh well. See asterisk above!

KIDS! (Or is it just mine?)

Simply Fabulous

Hello! Happy Saturday :)

Here is a card featuring lots of COLORS (including my favorite--GREEN!) I used black to accent the main panel and help all those colors pop! I used Grand Damask and Fanciful Tags (sentiment) for this card. I love the beautiful script of the sentiment. It looks good with anything!

I stamped the damask stamp with a Spectrum Pad and I loved the different look it gave this formal design. A simple ribbon and some rhinestones complete the design.

Materials used: Cardstock-white, onyx (Gina K Designs); Designer paper- Twitterpated: Cute (Pebbles); Stamps- Grand Damask, Fanciful Labels (Gina K Designs); Ink-Memento Tuxedo black, Spectrum Stamp pad- Celebration (SU!); ribbon-Leafy (Dear Lizzy & AC); adhesive rhinestones (Recollections, Michael's)

Have a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

WSC - It's the GREAT Pumpkin!

Hi there- Sorry it has been awhile since my last post. Have been so busy with things here...haven't had much time for anything else.

It has been a GREAT week though. Found out some totally FUN news on Friday!!! (squeal! STILL stunned!) I will post the project soon.

I had an awesome weekend in Philadelphia (Go Phillies!) for my cousin's wedding.
I flew with my oldest daughter who spent the weekend with her dad. I stayed in Center City with two of my sisters. The reception was at the Constitution Center and everything about it was wonderful! I got to spend lots of time with my siblings/parents/cousins!! I am so glad I got the chance to go!

My husband stayed home with the two little ones---My son had a baseball tournament on the weekend. Ben was thrilled because they won medals. This is huge for them because they have never even come close. They are one of the youngest teams in their bracket and it has taken awhile for them to play like a team. Warning...gonna brag a bit here: On Sunday---Ben hit two triples and a home run in his first game , the game winning home run in the second game (which was in overtime because they were tied) and he hit a three run homer in the third game. Definitely was a ON day for his bat. (Saturday was a very different story for him--grounded out, flied out and struck out in one game so this made Sunday's success even more awesome.)

Happy times!
I got home late last night (John Lithgow was on our flight from Newark!)....and so much to do today...so I created a simple card for this week's MFT Wednesday Stamp Club. This week our challenge is to create a masculine or boy-themed card.
Since it is almost Halloween---I went with a boy-themed card. Here is my tribute to "It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown."

"Each year, the Great Pumpkin rises out of the pumpkin patch that he thinks is the most sincere. He's gotta pick this one. He's got to. I don't see how a pumpkin patch can be more sincere than this one. You can look around and there's not a sign of hypocrisy. Nothing but sincerity as far as the eye can see. " (It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown)

Simple but soo love that holiday classic. Couldn't resist! I used Boy & Dog Dog Gone Cute to create this scene. Designer paper is by October Afternoon.

Easy Peasy cause not alotta time-y!

WSC Sketch Challenge

Hello! It is that time again---time for the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch challenge. Sketches are always tricky for me cause I always tend to veer off course :) (shocking, I know!)
This is what I created:

I used the Sheltering Tree & Leaf trio die-namics die to create the spooky tree. (I love this tree die because you can literally use it for every season!)
I left the leaves off the tree because....well, it's fall!

I used the adorable witch and sentiment from Too Cute to Spook (still one of my favorite Halloween sets ever!) to complete this scene.

Paper is by Echo Park : Halloween Collection.

Wanna play along? Hope so. Head on over to Kim's blog at 11 am EST (on Wednesday) for the sketch and all the details on how you can be entered to win a $15 gift certificate. Kim will also have a a complete list of participating designers for today's Wednesday Stamp Club so you can check out all the samples before you play!

Trick-or-Treat

Hello...Happy Monday! Today, I am sharing a scrapbook page I created with the Echo Park Halloween Collection. I had just gotten this paper in the mail when they issued a challenge on their blog to use a haunted house image on a layout---PERFECT! Here is what I came up with:
I used a Halloween sticker from the collection for the page title and then added a half fan accordion fold under it. I cut a scalloped circle (Spellbinders) to help ground the sentiment (and to glue the accordion piece to.) Then, I added some bling to the sticker and cut out a bat from some of the patterned paper to add to it as well. You can see some of the glimmer mist I sprayed on the page in this picture too:

Here is the house download. I shrunk it down a bit and printed it out twice so I could layer the roof (s) and I added some black stickles to the edges:

Here are my little gremlins dressed for Halloween last year:
Hope you enjoy this page!! Enjoy your day!

BUSTED!........ And a SALE!

I went into my daughter Lauren's (5 yo) room earlier today and she was clearly startled and was trying to hide something...
So after I put her in her bath, I went back to her room to investigate and found this in her play kitchen--- (the lid was closed when I found it)...it is filled with sugar AND a spoon. Her own private stash of sugar any time she wants it = HEAVEN. Wonder how long this has been going on????
Just when I was starting to get concerned with her lack of appetite....BUSTED!

On another sweet note---

Here is a cute baby card using October Afternoon paper and shapes:

Next I used one of my favorite MFT die-namic dies-fresh cut grass to create a sweet baby card. The dp is by October Afternoon:

Here is a shaped card I created from a simple fold over card. I simply covered the card front for the front of the cake and used some of the strips of paper to make the candles. I added some glitter to the flames to make them sparkle. The sentiment is by JustRite Stampers-All Occasion Nested Centers & Verse:

That's about it. Thanks for stopping by! Go get crafty!!
